PASSNGO Privacy Policy

ACCODA Controls (“ACCODA,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, processed, and protected when you use the PASSNGO mobile application (“PASSNGO” or the “App”).

Depending on how PASSNGO is configured by your organization or property administrator, we may collect or process the following information:

Account Information

PASSNGO may process information required to identify and authenticate a user, including:

  • Username
  • User account identifier
  • Registration code
  • Mobile credential information
  • Organization, property, or access-control system information associated with your account

Passwords and authentication credentials are used solely for account authentication and access to authorized services.

Device Information

The App may process limited device information necessary to provide mobile access-control functionality, such as:

  • Device type and operating system
  • App version
  • Device identifiers required for credential registration or security
  • Bluetooth status and related device communication information

Bluetooth

PASSNGO uses Bluetooth technology to detect and communicate with compatible ACCODA or authorized access-control readers.

Bluetooth access is used solely to provide features such as mobile credential detection, reader communication, and authorized door access.

Location Permissions

Depending on the Android version and the features enabled in PASSNGO, the App may request location-related permissions when required by the operating system for Bluetooth scanning, nearby-device detection, or location-based access-control functions.

Location permissions are used only to enable the applicable App functionality.

PASSNGO does not sell users’ precise location information.

Usage and Diagnostic Information

We may collect limited technical or diagnostic information necessary to maintain the security, reliability, and performance of the App, including error information and application activity.

2. How We Use Information

We use information processed through PASSNGO to:

  • Register and manage mobile access credentials
  • Authenticate users
  • Enable authorized access to doors and access-control systems
  • Communicate with compatible readers using Bluetooth
  • Maintain application security
  • Prevent unauthorized access or credential misuse
  • Troubleshoot technical issues
  • Improve application reliability and performance
  • Provide customer and technical support

We do not use PASSNGO user information for third-party advertising.

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell personal information.

Information may be shared only when necessary to operate the service, including with:

  • The organization, building, employer, property manager, or administrator responsible for the access-control system associated with your credential
  • Service providers supporting hosting, infrastructure, application operation, or security
  • Government or law-enforcement authorities when legally required

Service providers are permitted to process information only as necessary to provide their services and are expected to protect information appropriately.

4. Data Storage and Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

Information transmitted between PASSNGO and supported systems may use encrypted communication where applicable.

No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to provide the applicable services, maintain security, comply with legal requirements, or fulfill legitimate business purposes.

Access credentials may be disabled or removed by the organization or administrator responsible for your access-control account.

6. User Choices and Permissions

You may control certain permissions, including Bluetooth, Nearby Devices, and Location permissions, through your mobile device settings.

Disabling required permissions may prevent certain PASSNGO features, including mobile door access, from functioning correctly.

7. Account and Data Deletion

If you would like to request deletion of personal information associated with PASSNGO, please contact your organization or access-control administrator first.

Certain information may be retained when required for security, legal, fraud-prevention, or regulatory purposes.

8. Children’s Privacy

PASSNGO is intended for access-control and security applications and is not designed for use by children as a consumer application.

PASSNGO may rely on third-party infrastructure or operating-system services required to provide application functionality.

These providers may process limited technical information according to their own privacy policies and applicable agreements.
